Productivity

It's really gratifying when you feels like you've accomplished a lot in a weekend. When you've been productive over the weekend, you may not feel as rested and relaxed as Sunday evening winds down. However, I find easing back into the work week much easier when I know I've gotten a lot done. I love feeling productive! Today I celebrate with a brief list poem, all I have accomplished in the past two days.

Rockin' sabbath service
with my old friend from the U
Catching up and laughing
until our faces turned to blue
Clean laundry and empty hamper
and my closet is full of clothes
A little reading and lots of writing
poetry and prose
Several walks with my dog
meals planned for the week
Lovely lunch with a dear friend
developing plans for our retreat
Got my eyebrows waxed
picked up a few gifts at the store
Exercised restraint while shopping
and didn't spend anymore
Watched a documentary
and a little Triple D*
Checked in on the b-ball scores
before catching a few z's
Took my son out for breakfast
enjoyed some conversation
Helped him with some school work
combatting procrastination
Took a trip to Publix
stocked the house with eats
Prepared my son some dinner**
took a few minutes off my feet
Back into the kitchen
just a few more things to do
Made dinner with my husband
and made tomorrow night's too!
Now I'm resting on the couch
wishing the sun wouldn't set
Cuz even though my chores are done
I'm not ready for Monday yet!
